Threshold Energy

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

From exploration to resource testing.

Six years of investigation have progressively reduced the geological search area and improved our understanding of the subsurface.

The project is now transitioning from regional exploration toward direct resource testing.

The next stage is expected to combine targeted geological and geophysical investigations with shallow geothermal gradient drilling designed to answer three fundamental questions:

Is sufficient heat present?

Can naturally fractured rock provide the required permeability?

Can the resource ultimately support a commercially and environmentally responsible geothermal development?

Each stage of exploration is intended to answer these questions before substantially larger amounts of capital are committed.

DEVELOPING GEOTHERMAL DIFFERENTLY

Threshold Energy was created to move the Kootenay Lake Geothermal Project from community-led research into professional exploration and, if warranted, development.

But the origins of the project remain important.

We believe geothermal resources can create long-term value extending beyond the generation of energy itself.

Our goal is to develop projects capable of aligning:

commercial investment
Indigenous participation
community benefit
environmental stewardship
and long-term energy value.

Threshold Energy provides the corporate and technical platform through which these interests can come together as projects mature.

Future ownership, partnership and development structures will evolve as resources are proven and discussions with Indigenous Nations, communities, strategic partners and investors advance.

OUR APPROACH

Explore carefully. Prove progressively. Develop responsibly.

Geothermal exploration requires patience and disciplined capital deployment.

Threshold Energy follows a staged approach:

Understand the geology
Integrate regional geology, structural interpretation, geochemistry and thermal information.

Image the subsurface
Use complementary geophysical technologies to identify structures, potential fluid pathways and prospective reservoir zones.

Test the resource
Use progressively deeper drilling to confirm temperature, permeability and reservoir characteristics.

Define the opportunity
Only after the resource is sufficiently understood do engineering, economics and development alternatives become meaningful.

This approach is designed to reduce uncertainty at each stage and ensure that investment decisions are supported by progressively stronger technical evidence.
